Is there a subscription or a commitment?
No. You buy your terminal once, then you only pay a percentage on each payment you take. No subscription, no rental, no fixed-term contract.
What's the catch?
There isn't one. From our website, you create your SumUp account yourself, in your own name: your contract is with SumUp, and SumUp pays your sales directly into your account. The 0.79% is the partner rate Varotis gives its customers: no subscription, no commitment and no obligation to buy.
Does my money go through Varotis?
No. Your payments are processed by SumUp and paid directly into your account, as for any SumUp customer. Varotis never touches your takings.
How do I get the 0.79% rate?
Sign up from our website in a few minutes: your SumUp account is created with the 0.79% rate, for life for every sign-up made in November, with no minimum volume and no obligation to buy. Make sure you go through our website: signing up directly on sumup.com does not give you the Varotis rate. Our support team is there to help if needed, 24/7.
Can I take payments before my terminal arrives?
Yes. Your SumUp account is active as soon as you sign up: you can take payments straight away with Tap to Pay, right on your phone (iPhone or Android). Your terminal takes over when it arrives.
What is the rate for online payments?
Your 0.79% applies to every payment you take in person, with your SumUp terminal. SumUp online payments (payment links, invoices, online store) are charged 2.50%, as with SumUp.
Is it the same terminal as the one sold by SumUp?
Yes, exactly the same: a new, official SumUp terminal with the SumUp Business app. The difference: the 0.79% per-transaction rate with no subscription, reserved for Varotis customers, and, as an option, the Monthly Pack's 24/7 priority support.
What if it breaks down?
All terminals are new and come with a 2-year warranty. With the Monthly Pack (CHF 19.95 per month, cancel at any time), our priority support answers 24/7, a technician comes out if needed and your device is replaced within 48 hours.
How long does delivery take?
Your order arrives in 4 to 7 working days, anywhere in Switzerland. Activation then takes about fifteen minutes in the SumUp Business app.
Can I return the terminal?
Yes. You have 30 days from delivery to send it back and get a refund. The conditions are set out in our refund policy.
